Celebrate Your Sexuality
I think that Evangelicals, Pentecostals, and other Born-Again and Spirit-Filled people need to develop a new “Theology of the Body.” Once that has happened perhaps then we could accept a new “Theology of Masturbation.”
We need to realize that the human body is good, beautiful, and pure in its natural state. God formed it and shaped it with his very own hand. And human sexuality is not a curse. It is not a problem. It is to be more than just a source of struggle. Married or single, it is a wonderful gift from God.
While we can enjoy a measure of sexual pleasure and release alone, the ultimate expression of sensuality is within the life-long one-man one-woman covenant of marriage. But, those excluded from the full blessing of sexuality within marriage are not sentenced to a lifetime of sexual frustration and the absence of pleasure and release. Even though they fall far short of their ultimate expression in the Act of Marriage, solitary sexual pleasures enjoyed during the Act of Masturbation are pure, holy, and good. For single people, or those in a less than perfect marriage, solitary sexual release is a godly provision, especially in a world where sexual stimulation is so prevalent.
Married or single, we are all sexual creatures. God made us that way, and we need to celebrate and rejoice in being so, in ways appropriate to our station in life.
